Featured Zibbeter

Happy New I sit here thinking about my plans for 2013, I realize that I have been quilling since 1973 and showing at juried craft fairs since 1975. Seems like a long time, but when you are doing something you love, time passes quickly.

This past year, I had a few nice mentions on different sites and here is the most recent.
Judy did a wonderful job with this interview on Zibbet.

Then check out my shop on Zibbet.  and all the other shops. Really nice place...and wonderful community.

Check it out. She really has a lot of great questions. What I find really interesting is reading other interviews, as it makes me feel not alone in my world of art.

Here is my double heron. This year I plan on making more 'doubles.' I want to get the female ducks and birds in with the males, as they are so differently colored. So I wonder what will be my second one. I am thinking maybe cardinals.

And here is why Christmas was so wonderful this Lyndi, almost 4 and Jonah 7 months old.
Our grandchildren enjoying life.........

Happy New Year and

Take Time to Enjoy the Little Things

Have a wonderful holiday season, and
Take Time to Enjoy the Little Things.

I am definitely taking a breather. All the orders are on their way to their new homes and I am settling in for the snow coming on Sunday. Will be sweet. I love the snow, it causes us to take a breath and hibernate. It is very calming. We will be enjoying our two grandchildren, Lyndi will be four in January and Jonah is 7 months old, so Christmas is truly a time of wonder.
We will visit my mom in the nursing home, she has been there almost two months and still thinks she is coming home...a tough decision, but the best one for her.

Anyways, I spent a couple of weeks working on my new facebook page.
It has definitely been a challenge. I have not used facebook before because I really have no interest in sharing what I am doing now. But my son has convinced me that it will get my website out there and my quilling. So I am off to follow the I am supposed to asked you to 'like me on facebook,' right?

Anyways, this is a time for Good Cheer, and Happy Holidays to you and your family. Thanks to everyone for their support over the past thirty-eight, yes, 38 years of quilling.

A little something to enjoy...

Lyndi and Jonah

Nanny and Lyndi  (my Mom)

And Truly, Take Time to Enjoy the Little Things.

A big thanks to Helen Hiebert for including my work in her quilling post. Check it out when you get a minute.

Christmas Again.....

Here we are again....Christmas time.

The year seems to have passed so quickly, my last show for the year is next Saturday, and then we start all over again.

It's been a good year for my shows and my website is really beginning to get orders. Check out my new website. If anyone out there is looking for a really easy place to build a website for free, check out weebly. It is really simple with drop and drag, and it has an integrated shopping cart with paypal, meaning no need to code the buttons..........anyways check it out. I am so impressed that I decided to pay the $5 a month, less if you pay for the year, just because its worth it to me. They also offer a blog on the account so I may be moving there after the season is over.

Anyways, here are a few photos for your Christmas shopping ideas.

These are a few of everybody's favorites. Check out my website and order by December 10 for Christmas delivery. I will do my best to keep everything in stock for immediate shipping.

Thanks to all for a wonderful year, and see you on the trail.

Happy Holidays to You and Yours.....
Take Time to Enjoy the Little Things.

Quillers to Join Me on EBSQ Art Site?

Greetings. and Welcome to Spring.

I have just joined ESBQ Art. It is a website where you show your work in your portfolio and then link to a shop or website you have somewhere so people can buy from you. It is an on-line gallery and I have found it very easy to work. This is my link to my portfolio. Here is a quote from their site:

"EBSQ is a creative community of artists, artisans, and photographers. We provide the tools. Just add art! Here at EBSQ, you'll find easy-to-use tools to help you take control of your art career. Artist members receive a professional portfolio space with unlimited uploads, use of our innovative digital certificate of authenticity program, access to multiple monthly exhibits, and a first-rate community of peers in our online art forum. Artists can easily connect to their favorite social networks and online sales venues. Get inspired daily with our Art of the Day newsletter. Take your skills further -- or in a new direction all together -- with our extensive library of tips and tutorials on everything from marketing to new techniques. Join us today and see why EBSQ has been the premier community for self-representing artists since 2000."

I have signed up for the $89 per year membership and I believe it is going to be great for me. I have been looking for an "art site" for awhile, as my work is priced above most craft and is more fine craft and art than I find most sites offer. What I am wondering is if any of you quillers out there might be interested. Right now I am in the wildlife and animal art gallery, which is ok. But I would love to have a quilling gallery on the site. In order for them to consider a new category there must be three quillers with a significant body of work. Anybody out there? Please sign up if you are interested and maybe we can get a quilling gallery going.

Here are a few of my recent custom orders. The first is a Business Card which I did something fancy cutting with and added to the mat on my Monarch Butterfly. I made two of these as gifts for a new business grand opening. Really cool idea.

These three custom keepsake wedding invitations were entirely different from what I usually see. And that is great because it means I get to be creative. And that is what it's all about.

Well, that's it for today. The sun is out and I keep trying to work outside. But the wind is blowing and its cold. Just looks like spring. Supposed to be in the 60's this week.

So check out the website:  EBSQ Art.  Even if you aren't interested in joining, it is a wonderful site to check out some really beautiful work from artists, craftspeople, and photographers. Great site.

Take Time to Enjoy the Little Things.
And right now the flowers are starting to bloom, so stop and smell the flowers.
