You can almost get lost in this picture..........

This is a Heron Scene that I did several years ago.

It is the first time that I did a scene at all, and the mountains and trees are cut and added on top of the cut out. This piece sat on my work table for about three months. Every time I can back and looked at it, I would add another mountain or tree. And then the grasses and cattails. It was just fun to see the piece change.
Below are a couple of close ups for your enjoyment.

The Heron in this piece became my Heron Fishing. This is a 16" by 20" piece framed in a cherry frame.

Wolf Design

My New Year's Resolution is to create a new design every week. I have many ideas, almost too many, so I have to make choices.

My first new design for 2011 is a Wolf. He is howling in the moonlight, and there are many little stars. I have added the trees for dimension. I really like the little scenes in my work as it really does tell a little story. This wolf is very happy to be seeing the moon and the stars.
