Quilling by Sandra White has moved!

After a long vacation from my blog, yeah like five and half years, I have restarted my blog. It is now located here on my website.
...and if you haven't seen me since 2014, you will see lots of new designs.

In 2013, Folk Art Pieces were added to my designs, which you saw on this blog. Lots of color and whimsy.

In 2016, I added Gardens, a tribute to my Mom. She had beautiful gardens that she loved to play in. I can't grow anything, so I created beautiful Quilled gardens, no water or sunlight needed. I know my Mom has beautiful gardens in heaven, and that my brother and Dad are there helping her out. Or at least smiling...

WindowBox Gardens and Skylight Gardens were my new series in 2017, all made with lots of original Quilled flowers.

My Quilled Landscapes debuted at the League of New Hampshire Craftmen's Fair in 2018, and they were loved by everyone, well almost everyone. Big beautiful landscapes with lots of Quilling, the entire piece is Quilled! That means lots of little rolls of paper strategically placed to create the landscape picture. This was my first one, a 16x20 framed piece:

Birches at Sunset 2018

This year I have been designing a small butterfly, moth and dragonfly series, small floral garden series, and am working on a new design for Quilled birth announcement keepsakes. Just a few of my ideas. And as always, I want to do that one giant piece...I'll get there.

I am now down to one show a year: The Craftmens Fair, which is 9 days long and located at Newbury New Hampshire at the Sunapee Resort -- its a ski area and we set up at the bottom of the mountain in large tents, so we are good rain or shine. Lots of great work and demonstrations, at least two days worth of looking.

This show is the one that I love and will continue participating in forever...however long that is! The craftspeople are friendly and with this being my 34th year, we all know each other. You might want to visit if you're in New England, its worth the trip. Here's the link to the League's website. It starts the first Saturday in August and runs through the following weekend, 9 days.

So I hope you have enjoyed this little recap, and I would love for you to come over to my new blog and follow my Quilling journey.

My new blog is my Quilling journey, with 45 years of show experiences and many stories.

I have included stories about my grandchildren intertwined with my Quilling. Its all fun!

I also show new designs on my blog,

Just to recap: I started with the Quilled Wedding Invitation Keepsakes in 1975, when I created one for my girl friend as a wedding gift.

I then designed lots of Wildlife Pieces with my original quilling technique with a cut out over the quilling, using the cutout for the design and the quilling for the details, like the feathers on the loon. This work was my key to being juryed with the League of NH Craftsmen in 1987. That was my dream fulfilled. But check out my new blog for the story, you will enjoy it.
